I was born in Austria some summers ago. Then I had the twin privilege to be raised in Mexico and to study back in Europe. I didn’t always want to be an architect, but I have always been a big fan of LEGO.
There is almost no plane of existence that LEGO (I mean, architecture) isn’t concerned with. I have thus come to realise the significance of the social, political and material dimensions in imagining our environment. To study architecture is pure joy, but to put architecture into practice is authentic struggle. Not necessarily because of the flooded cellar (again), nor the crashed server (please not again), but rather, because the architectural practice of today is almost categorically unviable.
In case you’re wondering, I found the time to put this webpage together after I tore my knee ligaments last year. Feel free to stroll around.
